Edges of Truth

Rav Moshe Chaim Luzzatto, the Ramchal, was among our nation's greatest thinkers and kabbalists. Yet, as great as he was, he felt duty bound to write Mesillas Yesharim, a (relatively) simple work that stresses the basic character requirements needed for improving one's Divine service. Why? While all principles of Torah are very important, that which helps us change and brings us closer to what G-d wants of us, is most important.
