Description

In Pearls of the Rambam, first published in 1931, Rabbi Menachem M. Monsohn presents verbatim quotations from the Mishneh Torah of the Rambam, arranged in the order in which they are derived from the Torah, verse by verse. Thus, as he proceeds from Bereshit to Vezot Haberacha, the student of the Bible has immediate access to the relevant Laws as defined by the Rambam. The first Chief Rabbi of Eretz Israel, Rabbi A.Y. Kook, wrote in 1934: 'the author’s effort is much needed,' and 'the book should be bound together with the Chumash.' This English translation of Pearls of the Rambam appears in conjunction with the new edition of the original volume published by Mosad Harav Kook. In his translated form it becomes a study tool for readers for whom the Hebrew text may present difficulties.
